About
Academic Background
Nabh is currently pursuing his PhD in Transportation Systems at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, where he previously completed his M.Tech in Transport Infrastructure Systems with high academic standing. His academic foundation is further strengthened by a robust background in architecture and planning, demonstrated by his high ranking in GATE and practical design experience. Additionally, he has expanded his technical and analytical toolkit by completing certifications in supervised machine learning and regression. Throughout his academic journey, he has actively served his academic community, holding leadership roles.
Core Research Interests
His primary research interests lie at the intersection of transportation infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and urban mobility. He focuses on applying qualitative research, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques to solve contemporary transit challenges, with a particular emphasis on electric vehicle integration and air quality management within public and para-transit networks.
Expanding Domain & Key Project Focuses
Electric Vehicle Range Anxiety: As a researcher and PhD scholar, Nabh is deeply involved in EV Range Estimation and Mitigation for Gig Economy Workers. He was also selected as a Junior Research Fellow on a SERB-sponsored consultancy project in a similar domain, where he addressed the complex operational and infrastructural modelling required to make electric bus transit more efficient and reliable.
Air Quality and Micro-Mobility Exposure: His domain extends into environmental health within urban transit, highlighted by his comprehensive research on the air pollutant exposure of e-rickshaw users in Roorkee. By analysing how vehicle design, windshield structures, and seating positions influence particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) concentrations, his work provides critical, data-driven recommendations for policymakers to improve para-transit vehicle designs.
Architectural Design and Visual Communication Drawing from his professional tenure as a freelance architect, his expertise encompasses spatial planning, 3D modelling, and graphic design. He actively leverages industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp to seamlessly integrate architectural rendering, detailed illustration, and residential/commercial design principles into broader infrastructure and urban planning frameworks.
